At Pathways we embrace our NAF Model as we are a community of Professionals in all that we do; we have, provide, and seize Opportunities for all students and staff to learn at the highest level, and have experiences that will positively impact their future and engage them in school, we promote a strong Work-ethic in everything we do in and out of school, we Empower our students and staff to be leaders in their school, in their community, and to have voice; and that we do this all by Respecting ourselves, our peers, our students, our staff, our families, and our school through our Responsibility to be positive and productive members of our community.

Being a Pathways Professional:

Is…

  • Coming to school every day on time and going to all classes each day on time and ready to learn
  • In full uniform every day all day
  • All materials prepared for class and ready, cell phones away, utilizing class time effectively, utilizing all technology appropriately
  • Carrying yourself as a professional including appropriate language and actions in class and in school

Is NOT…

  • Coming to school late
  • Going to class late and/or skipping any class for any amount of time
  • Being out of uniform
  • Having your cell phone out in class
  • Not being prepared for class, not having your materials and work ready for class
  • Taking away from learning by spending too much time out of class (locker, bathroom, etc.)
  • Unprofessional language and actions in class, in the halls, in school


Seizing the Opportunities at Pathways:

Is…

  • Utilizing all that Pathways has to offer
  • Engaging in your classwork every day to insure you are ready to succeed after high school
  • Engage in as many high-level courses as possible (AP, ECE, Advance Courses, etc.)
  • Utilizing the support of the teachers and staff to answer questions and get you the help you need
  • Participating in extra-curricular activities, internships, job shadows, clubs, and events that are unique to Pathways and its business partners

Is NOT…

  • Avoiding classwork or taking time away from your learning and the learning of others.
  • Avoiding or refusing to ask for help and support from staff
  • Believing D’s and F’s are acceptable
  • Avoiding internships, higher level classes, programs, and activities that can improve your skills both academically and socially for your future


Having a strong Work-Ethic at Pathways:

Is…

  • Coming to school and class every day ready to work your hardest
  • Completing work on time with full effort
  • Engaging and working to your fullest potential on all assignments in all classes, even when it is difficult or challenging
  • Taking the time and making the effort to work with teacher, staff, and peers to get the support you need to be successful

Is NOT…

  • Avoiding classwork or taking time away from your learning and the learning of others
  • Avoiding or refusing to ask for help and support from staff
  • Believing D’s and F’s are acceptable
  • Avoiding internships, higher level classes, programs, and activities that can improve your skills both academically and socially for your future

Being Empowered at Pathways:

Is…

  • Having an avenue to share your thoughts and having voice in how to improve the school, being a leader
  • Having a positive attitude, motivating, inspiring, and encouraging others
  • Taking ownership of your learning and your environment

Is NOT…

  • Restricting the voice of others and/or following those who are not doing the right thing
  • Bringing others down through bullying or negative actions and words
  • Settling for the bare minimum in your education and in your actions


Having Respect and being Responsible:

Is…

  • Being caring and having empathy for others
  • Listening to others and respecting others viewpoints and perspectives
  • Owning your actions, taking ownership of your learning, respecting yourself
  • Taking care of your school environment
  • Doing the right things to be successful, listening to your teachers, asking for support, and helping others to do the same
  • Treating your teachers, peers, school and self with the respect they deserve through your actions and words

Is NOT…

  • Disrespecting others, bullying, putting others down, being a negative influence on your peers
  • Blaming others for your mistakes
  • Leaving trash on the ground or in the café, damaging school property
  • Using inappropriate language in the school, acting inappropriately in class or in the halls
  • Ignoring the rules, avoiding help and support
  • Avoiding ownership over your learning and downplaying the importance of your education
