COLLEGE NOW Program at University of Hartford
COLLEGE NOW is a University of Hartford program designed to provide outstanding high school seniors with the opportunity to enroll in one college course per semester on a tuition free basis. This program is quite selective and open only to students who meet the following criteria:
- Qualified high school seniors who have exhausted the college preparatory courses in their high schools.
- Students must have maintained grades of "A" and "B" consistently in their academic courses.
- Students must have achieved a minimum score of 500 on both the verbal and math portions of the SAT or PSAT.
Students often use the College Now Program to take advanced classes in subjects, such as math, that are not available at that level in their home schools. Other students select courses that they will use to satisfy the general education requirements in college (such as introductory courses in sociology or psychology). The College Now Program provides an excellent opportunity for mature, academically strong students to experience the challenges and rewards of learning in a college setting.
The deadline for applications is Friday, April 7th, 2017. The fall semester classes begin on Tuesday, August 29th, 2017.
If you have any questions, please speak to your school counselor.
