FREE Hartford STEM Event

FREE Hartford STEM event for girls and educators

By 2023 half of all U.S. jobs will be in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), yet, too few students are pursuing majors in those areas, hindering our global competitiveness. The Soar to the Stars Girls STEM Experience, sponsored the Petit Family Foundation and Space Foundation, invites girls age 12 to 18 years to be inspired and excited by the sciences. At this FREE event, girls will participate in hands-on activities led by Space Foundation accredited and award-winning educators. Additionally, Hartford-area teachers are invited to attend a FREE STEM professional development workshop in conjunction with the program.

All participants will enjoy a free breakfast and are invited to attend a free luncheon with former astronaut Paul Lockhart.
