Instructional technology labs are used for training in certification testing. Students gain the knowledge and skills needed for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks, and the Internet. Students have the opportunity to be certified at all levels of Microsoft Office.
Our Business Center 21 harnesses technology to make Business Education more effective and applicable for today's student. With Business Center 21 students achieve national standards for Business Education while mastering Microsoft Office business applications.
This lab utilized for web design and the development process using Macromedia web tools. It develops key student skills areas: design, communication, project management and web authoring tools. Each project has phases that follow the web design process, from project planning, to design, to development, to evaluation. To simulate a professional work environment, students gradually migrate their design work from an individual process to a group process.
The Media Resource Lab is used for technology integration in content areas as well as a resource lab for students after school.
One of the biggest challenges facing those wanting to enter the IT profession is getting the practical experience necessary to get a toehold in the career they want to pursue. Many network administrators gained their experience by setting up a home test network. Pathways has created a networking lab that allows students in the networking course to create and manage a network while they study the principles of networking.
Pathways has a set of 6 professional recording booths that are used by students taking the Sound Production course. We also have a separate studio which has another sound booth serviced by a multitrack recording console and a video recording booth in which students in our Digital Video and Media course record video.
