Portfolio Development

As Pathways student's skills emerge, they will work to develop a portfolio of their accomplishments for workforce or college admission and possibly have the opportunity to gain advanced placement credit toward college.

An important part of helping students recognize their growing technical competency is to provide tools where they can assess their own progress toward the goals of their courses. Portfolio development is a successful tool for helping both students and teachers see how much they have progressed. In developing this portfolio, the participants provided work examples and artifacts that demonstrated the skills, knowledge, and insights they had developed through the Pathways to Technology experience. They write descriptions explaining what each element of the portfolio is and how it demonstrates their progress toward gaining confidence and competence in the use of the Internet, media, computers and the attainment of standards-based mathematics and science teaching and learning.
