Having achieved certification status gives students, not only personal improvement and skills enhancement, but also the credibility and competitive edge needed when seeking job placement today. The Pathways to Technology Magnet School program offers certification in two areas - IC3 and MOS.

IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification)

IC3 is a world-wide training and certification program that offers students the knowledge and skills needed for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks and the Internet. Having achieved IC3 certification, students initiate themselves into today's digital world and give themselves a globally accepted and validated credential that can lead to advancement in education, employment or other certification programs.

MOS (Microsoft Office User Specialist)

Microsoft Office Suite is the most popular desktop applications used in today's work place. Earning MOS certification verifies a student's expertise in this field. Having earned MOS certification gives students the necessary skills to set them apart in the competitive job market today.

A + Certification

The CompTIA A+ Certification is an industry standard for validating vendor-neutral skills expected of an entry-level computer technician. This is a widely accepted certification that demonstrates a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
