Leader of the Month: Makiydah Berry - Nominated by Ms. Usher
Starting a new club is always difficult, but starting a club that brings attention to an important social issue is even harder because you get personally invested in making a difference in the school community. Girlcott is all about bringing attention, and making changes to, gender equality. Makiydah is a stellar example of leadership in this regard. As a freshman here at Pathways, she's taken initiative to research, recruiting new members, and get involved. For this, she absolutely deserves this award.
Citizen of the Month: Brian Bedon - Nominated by Ms. Bennett
Brian took the initiative to bring up the idea of wanting to raise money for the Hurricane relief. He then went to the Student Government who was able to assist him with organizing the day and raising close to $900!
